Uniden R3 and R7 updates New Zealand firmware and speed camera database
Uniden’s New Zealand distributor (BluLink) has made the various Uniden R3 and R7 updates available.
If your detector is working fine, there often isn’t any need to run a firmware update. We recommend not doing any firmware updates unless there’s an actual problem.
Note that the firmware and GPS database updates are NOT the same thing.

Uniden R3NZ
Hi Team,
Purchased uniden r3 from you guys wondering whats the latest firmware? Cheers!
Hi Ralph! You’d need to send the detector to BluLink if you want to do FIRMWARE updates. Chances are, you don’t really need to update the firmware. The latest GPS database though is 1.46, released June 2022.

sounds dodgy, why dont the international firmware work and why do you say above get the firmware from blulink an then say you have to send it to them to flash, this is the oldest scam in the book, will cancel my order i think
This is the international version, the NZ firmware works fine. BluLink the New Zealand distributor (www.BluLink.co.nz) simply don’t make the firmware available. You’d have to take it up with them, we simply resell them, we don’t modify them, or load custom firmware or databases, we just resell what they make available. The same goes for Stinger, Escort (Neltronics), and Genevo. You can download the latest GPS database from BluLink. GPS database is available. Firmware is not. Do you know the difference? Many people don’t and this is why BluLink try to slow down the number of bricked units they’d likely see through misguided expertise.
Dodgy? Says the person with no actual order to cancel… Oldest trick in the book? Not sure – NZRadars.com has been around for over a decade. How old is your Hotmail address?
